We are thrilled to announce we will be behind the scenes once more with the Gaz Shocks 116 Trophy on Saturday 17th August to capture what really goes on behind the scenes at a motorsport event.

On the day, we will capture qualifying LIVE, be in the assembly areas, paddock and pit lane to give you a look at the characters behind one of the most exciting race series in the country.

And the best thing is you can stick with us throughout the day and watch it as it happens LIVE on the 116 Trophy’s Facebook page.

Ian Waterhouse will be your host for the day guiding you through the technicalities, team and driver interviews and on-track action with full commentary of the 1.5-hour endurance race.

You can watch the action two as we will base ourselves at the top of the media centre giving us a full visual over the entire Brands Hatch Indy race circuit.

The series so far

It may only be the inaugural season of the Gaz Shocks 116 Trophy but you wouldn’t know it.

With impress grids, intense racing and superb personalities around the paddock, it is as if the 116 Trophy has been an established race series for years.

Much of that organisation and professionalism with a fun attitude is down to series organisers Mark Bate and Derek Gardiner with the pair boasting plenty of experience when it comes to arranging motorsport events.

The on-track action has been nothing short of a delight too with Team BRIT’s Bobby Trundley showing he means business with a hat-trick of wins so far this season.

Ready for race day

Can anyone stop Trundley and Team BRIT from making it four from four? How will the teams fare with the mandatory pitstop? And will Mark ever leave his leather jacket at home?

These are the questions posed and the questions that will be answered on Saturday 17th August.
