I must be honest, I don’t normally go in for bikes.
But then again, it’s not every day a classic from 1955 lands on your desk and when it did, I couldn’t help but get involved.
Especially as one of these 1955 BSA B31’s was sold at Bonham’s proving the classic nature of these beautiful machines.
The BSA B31 was manufactured between 1945 to the end of 1959 and was something of a workhorse bearing the legendary name.
Initially, the B31 produced a healthy 348cc engine and would cruise at 60mph from sunrise to sundown and all through the night if you really wanted.
This particular B31 for sale in its eye-catching blue comes with the original logbook, registered keepers document as well as the original instruction and spares books.
It even had an engine rebuild in the late 1960s and boasts just over 3000 miles on the clock.
BSA Company Ltd was purchased by the Mahindra Group (they also run a Formula E team) for £3.4million with the intention of reintroducing the motorcycle’s bearing the BSA name.
Hopefully, that will happen, but right now you can own a piece of motorcycling history and take home a stunning BSA B31.
